We have stayed here during our 3 days-2 nights trip with 20 of our staffs. The hotel situated in Pantai Chenang, in the middle of shops, restaurants and other hotels and chalets. It is just 5 minutes walk to Underwater World Langkawi and 15 minutes drive from Langkawi Airport. It is 30 minutes drive to Kuah where you can visit Dataran Helang, Kuah jetty and also Kuah town where you can do your shopping.

The hotel room is clean, they have all the basic facilities in the room. Clean toilet, small fridge, telephone, tv, electric kettle and clean towels. They serve free breakfast for in-house guests, which the menu varies everyday. We had fried mee-hoon, bread with jam and scrambled eggs. Drinks are hot tea, coffee and cold milk. On the second day, we had fried kuey teow and the rest are the same. Well, the food is ok to start your day with. At least you dont have to look for your own breakfast outside. We hunt for our lunch and also dinner from nearby restaurant which are abundant to choose from and they serve great food as well. It was enjoyable to explore our tastebuds just in a walking distant from our hotel. Don't even need to drive. Great! I begin to love Pantai Chenang. hehe..

Pulau Dayang Bungting, Langkawi

Tasik Dayang Bunting is a fresh water lake on the island of Dayang Bunting, the second largest in the Langkawi archipelago. There appears to be several versions of the Dayang Bunting legend. One version has it that Dayang Bunting was a giant guardian spirit that kept watch over the islands. The lady's defenses include her pet lion and poison from the tuba root, potent weapons for her protection. Hence, the two islands closest to Pulau Dayang Bunting, whose silhoutte resembles that of a reclined pregnant giant, are named Pulau Singa Besar (Great Lion Island) and Pulau Tuba (Poisonous Root Island). The story goes that, a group of rude merchants failed to pay the obligatory respects to Dayang Bunting as they passed by the islands. Rudely awakened by the intrusion, she summoned her pet lion to despatch the trespassers. She roused the spirits of wind and water, stirring up a tropical storm that unleashed its fury on the incoming fleet of sailors.
The howling winds and tossing waves threw and dashed vessels on Pulau Jong (Junk Island), hence the remains of wrecked vessels. In the stormy affair, a cargo of black and white water buffaloes escaped to Pulau Gubang Darat (Land Stable Island) and Pulau Gubang Laut (Sea Stable Island) while the white buffaloes sheltered at Pulau Balar (White Water Buffalo Island). Yet other boats, laden with rice, was stranded at Pulau Beras Basah (Wet Rice Island). In another story, a prince once ate half cooked rice during a wedding feast. He suffered indigestion and farted at two spots now known as Pulau Kentut Besar (big Fart Island) and Pulau Kentut Kecil (Small Fart Island)! The second version of Dayang Bunting is closely associated with the romantic exploitery of Mambang Sari, a beautiful female genie and Mat Teja, a male genie. Mambang Sari used to frequent the island accompanied by her maids. Their favourite spot was Pasir Teluk Air Tahun and Teluk Lawak. One day Mat Teja saw Mambang Sari and was struck by her beauty. He fell in love with her and used to follow her wherever she went. Once while on a lookout for her, he met Tok Diang an old man from the village. Mat Teja told him of his love for Mambang Sari but just did not know how to reveal this secret. He feared that his love might not be reciprocated.
Tok Diang asked Mat Teja to get the tears of a mermaid from the sea and to wipe them on his face the next time he met Mambang Sari. He did just that and when Mambang Sari saw him she fell in love with him. They often met at various places to enjoy the beauty and serenity of these spots. They became more intimate and as a result Mambang Sari became pregnant.
She chose to retire at Tasik Dayang Beranak (Lake of Born Maiden) to give birth. Unfortunately the child died after seven days. Saddened by the death Mambang Sari took the child's body and threw it into the lake, Tasik Dayang Beranak. The lake later came to be known as Tasik Dayang Bunting. Some people believe the water of the lake possesses some mystical power of helping barren women to bear children.

Telaga Tujuh waterfall

The name of this waterfall means ‘Seven Wells’, referring to a collection of seven intertwined natural pools fed by seven separate waterfalls in Mount Mat Cincang. Locals claim that fairies reside in the area but tourists are more likely to find the flora around the water more magically appealing. Some unique lime plants and Sintuk, a climbing type of foliage, grow abundantly. Intrepid travelers can climb to the top of the falls in 45 minutes, hopefully spotting some macaque monkeys, hornbills or a giant squirrel along the way.

Langkawi Cable Car

Langkawi Cable Car is located on the southwest coast of the main island, just a 30 minute drive from Kuah Town and only 15 minute from Langkawi International Airport.

It is conveniently located at the foot of Gunung Mat Chincang. The journey up the cool mountain side is an experience in itself. The total journey is 2.2 km. You get the feel of an incline of 42° and a breathtaking view of the surrounding green forests, the Telaga Tujuh Waterfall, the sea and the part of the 99 islands. As you approach the Middle Station, you will be able to observe at close range the unique rock formation and geological features formed some 550 million years ago. this is the eldest part of Malaysia.

The journey to the Middle Station is 1,700m at 650m above sea level. You can then alight from the cable car and walk up to the viewing platform to enjoy a 360° view of the beautiful surroundings. The unique flore on the ridges and the forested valley between the Middle and Top Stations also offer spectacular view.

The ride from the Middle Station to the Top Station (450m distance and 709m above sea level) is another exhilarating experience as you glide slowly over the forested valley below. The top of Gunung Mat Chincang has two viewing platforms with 360° views, for you to experience the feeling of being on top of the world, for you to drink in the beauty of nature as your eyes sweep the dramatic scene of Langkawi Islands, the Mainland of Kedah and South Thailand.

Just watched the movie, I give 5 stars!! Superb...I love Optimus Prime, the leader of Autobots and Bumblebee, being the smallest Autobots. He is the yellow camaro car sam bought for his first car. And there was Megatron, discovered by Sam's great-grandfather in the arctic. Megatron is chasing the cube to be powerful and to rule the world. Jahat Megatron ni, last2 dah kena bunuh, with the cube thrust into his chest by Sam. Ee...best la. Rasa nak pegi tengok lagi!! One kid was singing 'Transformers....' following the cartoon version whenever the Autobots transforms from power cars to robots.

Heroes, work at home & Redang!!

I like Wednesday nite! Why? Because the idiot box will be showing the next episode of Heroes. Nothing much. Just that. haha...I'm not like you guys downloading the newest episode from the internet. I just don't want to kill the excitement of waiting for the show to start. It's not really exciting when you know what will going to happen next. So, let it be in conventional way. Anyway, my sister and me will watch the show together, let say we have a quality time together. Haha...

I'm getting bored at home. The last time I set foot in the office was..em...last week. On Monday. My team and I went for lunch at Cafe 1920, in the new Bangsar Village. For the last month, I went to office like once a week. I think I had enough of working at home. It was so boring. Unless I'm married and have kids to take care of, then it's a blessing. So now, I work at nite and play game at day time. Well, tomorrow I'll be in the office to discuss something with my teammate and also to have lunch with my other colleagues. I've never had lunch with them for 1 month. Missed them already.

And another thing, what I'm excited about right now is our company's holiday trip. We are going to Pulau Redang for 3 days/2 nights stay starting on 14th July. Can hardly wait, I've already bought a new sling bag for travelling and sight-seeing. It's bright orange, make me look like a tourist. huhu...neway, it's useful as it got large compartment for me to dump in my camera, new wallet (skang kan shopping karnival!! :P), water bottle, sun-block, tissue, sun-glasses and apa-apa aje la. We are going with 'anybody can fly now' flight, hopefully there will be no delay as I had with my KK trip. 2 hours delayed, but thanked god I was late to checked-in that time. So the delayed was a blessing for me, and a curse for someone else. haha. Then we are going to stay in beautiful Laguna Redang Resort. I've already view their website, memang cantik and splendid!!

I think I write enough for one day. It's strange when I'm in the 'rajin' mood, I can post quite a lot in 1 day. But if the mood switched to 'malas' mode, nothing appears here. If there is, only some quiz or personality test ke. Apa-apa aje la. Suka hati I la kannn??

Oo ye...next week is my birthday. Rasa-rasanye boring la birthday tak seperti zaman bercinta dulu. huhu...I think I let my car to be my birthday gift. Ok la tu kannn?

Opss...I didn't write anything bout father's day. On sunday, which was the father's day, I've decided to cook a western meal for dinner. But the thing is, shopping carnival has just started and my friend Aida want us to shop at Sogo. So, off we go to Midvaley (just to pick-up her things), Sogo, Jln TAR. Came back damn tired, so lazy to shop for tonight's dinner. My dad didn't know the plan, went to pasar malam with my mum. So that was my father's day which looked so ordinary like any other day. Hmm...nanti la bila mode rajin dah 'on', bole la kita berchicken chop for dinner. :P

Birthdays and new book

Today is the 20th of June. 2 days ago my cousin had his birthday. And today is the birthday for 4 people that I know. My brother, 2 of my schoolmates and 1 was my coursemate in uni. Happy birthday to all of you...my brother got a cactus suprise in his office. His wife got a favour from his colleague to give him a surprise. Other than that is just a cake waiting at home. Nothing much of a celebration for a 31-year-old. haha...

When I was in a boarding school way up north, I would get the makcik dobi to bake a chocolate cake for me for a mere rm8 with choc icing. Nyum...the cake was lovely. I've called all my best friends from different dorms to join me. We ate the cake in the hostel garden, at the meja batu with the payung at night. That were the best time, away from parents and home-town, only to friends we share our happy and sad moments together. I really, really love and missed all my friends.

One thing about the birthday date is that it was used for our train-ticket collection from the cikgu. Before the school breaks, we will be in the hall with our nite prep's uniform (white baju melayu and songkok for boys and white tudung & baju kurung with black kain for girls). And the cikgu in charge will call our birtdate and we have to go on the stage to get the ticket. It was the government concession for students living in other states in the country. Well, my friend siti has to give-up to botak when he hurriedly get onto stage to take the ticket. Apparantly both have the same birthdate. Siti has to wait for the next round thanks to Botak. Much of the boys ego in school which I saw a lot during my 2-years stay. One thing for good is the ego eventually melted away as soon as we left school. Somehow they are more gentlemen-like now. Thank you v. much. I kan slalu je gaduh dgn boys back then. haha...hey, I still remembered the stinking dead bat with the maggots in my desk when I was in form 4. U guys memangggg jahattttttttt!!!!

I've just finished reading 'Confessions of An Old Boy' by Kam Raslan. I just can't help laughing at some part of the book which is really funny. Dato' Hamid, the old boy with his snobbishness and his brilliant wife, which she was called 'The Wife' was simply a saviour for Dato during his down-fall in Algiers. What was he doing in Algiers in the first place? Playing drum influenced by care-free Nik, abandoned their studies in UK. Luckily Hamid was married with 'The Wife'. Well, I really enjoyed the book. Now I'm passing it to dad, if he were interested with MCKK-old-boy story (which is just a fiction, not a real story). Maybe he can recognise some character since he was a big-school old boy afterall.

Tanda 100 hari sebelum hari mati.
Ini adalah tanda pertama dari Allah SWT kepada hambanya dan hanya akan disedari oleh mereka yang dikehendakinya. Walaubagaimanapun semua orang Islam akan mendapat tanda ini cuma samada mereka sedar atau tidak sahaja.Tanda ini akan berlaku lazimnya selepas waktu Asar. Seluruh tubuh iaitudarihujung rambut sehingga ke hujung kaki akan mengalami getaran atauseakan-akan mengigil. Akan berlaku sesudah waktu Asar di mana kita akan merasakan satu denyutandisebelah belakang iaitu di kawasan ubun-ubun di mana ini menandakan kitatidak akan sempat untuk menemui waktu Asar keesokan harinya.

Akan berlaku keadaan di mana kita akan merasakan satu keadaan sejuk dibahagian pusat dan ianya akan turun ke pinggang danseterusnya akan naik ke bahagian halkum. Ketika ini hendaklah kita terusmengucap kalimah syahadah dan berdiam diri dan menantikan kedatanganmalaikatmaut untuk menjemput kita kembali kepada Allah SWT yang telahmenghidupkan kita dan sekarang akan mematikan pula.

movie marathon

Yesterday is my movie marathon day. Started with Spiderman 3 at 11.30 am then I watched Sumolah at 2.30pm. Out of the cinema, and I had a headache. Spidey was good. I felt like crying when Harry is dying in Mary Jane's arm and also spidey with his watering eyes. Hu....sedeynyeee...I bet the director wanted Harry to be dead so the next spidey movie there will be no more love triangle between MJ and spidey. For sumolah, I'll say the movie is ok aje. Not so funny and hilarious as afdlin's previous movies. keciwa la...I like Baik punye cilok better.

keje malam lagi..

Tadi I datang jam 7pm. Had my dinner at 10.30pm in the office. And now the clock is ticking at 12.35am. My EBP workflows had just completed the running. All tasks has been successfully executed. What a relief. Last nite one task which has been running for 8 hours suddenly failed. Cuak jugak aku..check the error log, hmm...problem with the database. I've rerun the task, it managed to exute in shorter time. Good. Ada satu task nak execute amik masa 13 jam...nasib baik la takde error. Sebab keje-keje ni have to be submitted to client today. Yay..now I can go home and membongkang. Nite!

Yesterday n today must be the craziest working hours for me! Ok let me begin, I clocked in at 9am yesterday. Went home at 4.30pm for quick wash, eat a bit and drive back to work at 6.30pm. Then I have to monitor all my workflows run smoothly, which mean I have to stay in office from 7pm to 7am. Giler...gilerrr... brape jam semuanya? 19 jam...yes! I'm going nuts!!

Right now my loan application is still processing. Just submitted my documents yesterday. yess..soon u'll be mine!! Can't wait to decorate it. haha...

New devices

Today is a public holiday. I've bought a new modem and a new optical mouse. All together cost RM85. I have tried the new modem, but why dia asyik disconnect? Geram pulak rasanye, nak download lagu selalu la terputus. Modem lama adsl light keep on blinking. Hantar kedai, orang kedai cakap tak boleh repair. So, terus la I beli modem baru. Modem baru kecik sikit dari modem lama. Only the size of my palm. Nanti la I try to connect malam-malam nanti.

Last nite I went to a new-restaurant-free-food party which is belong to one of my father's friend's son. Huh panjang betul nak describe dia. So, I went with my parents and my baby niece. The restaurant is in bangi fasa 3, near petronas. It's called Red Card. We had spaghetti and chicken sauce, walnut and choc cake, teh tarik and air sirap selasih. The food were quite good, and the ambience is quite cosy. Although I felt a bit hot because there were so many people and the dim lighting. Panas la... Anyway, we all balik kenyang and suka hati.
